How Repelz-It Keeps It Clean

Repelz-It is DGS's patented nano technology. Here's what it does, in plain English.

1. Every fiber gets an invisible shield

The chenille is treated at the nano scale, far too small to see or feel. The treatment wraps each individual fiber, so the fabric still looks, feels and breathes like fabric, not plastic or vinyl.

2. Liquids bead up and roll off

Think of rain on a freshly waxed car. Instead of soaking in, water, drool and accidents bead up on the surface, long enough for you to wipe them away or rinse them off.

3. Dirt and oils can't dig in

The fabric is water-, oil- and soil-resistant, so mud, grime and greasy messes sit on top instead of working into the fibers. Most of it shakes or brushes right off.

4. Less odor between washes

A bacteriostatic agent built into the fabric reduces the growth and spread of odor-causing bacteria, so the bed stays fresher longer.

5. Heat brings it back

How to Care for It

1. Wipe or rinse spills as they happen; Repelz-It keeps them on the surface.
2. Unzip and remove the cover. Machine wash warm with like colors on a gentle cycle, with mild detergent. Skip bleach and fabric softener.
3. Tumble dry on high heat, and iron for best results. The heat revitalizes the Repelz-It treatment.
4. Shake out and air the inner fill between washes to keep it fresh.
