A fully insulated puffer for real winter: extra-stuffed fill, a zippered faux fur collar, full belly coverage and a Repelz-It treated shell that sheds snow and slush. It's built so cold-weather walks can go the distance.

How the Hemlock Keeps Them Warm

1. Puffy fill traps their own body heat

Think of a down comforter. The extra-stuffed fill holds a layer of still, warm air around your dog's body, so the heat they make stays with them instead of escaping into the cold.

2. The belly is covered, not exposed

A dog's belly has the thinnest fur and sits closest to the snow. Full belly coverage wraps the underside, where most jackets leave a gap.

3. The collar seals the neck

Like pulling a scarf up on a windy day, the zippered faux fur collar closes off the neck, one of the biggest places warmth escapes.

4. Drafts stay out

Dual fastener closures with an elastic waistband and neck, plus a contoured tail opening, keep the jacket snug so cold air can't sneak underneath.

5. The shell keeps the fill dry
